It all began in 1954 when a young boy’s mother found a math test in her son’s pocket. Seeing that his test results were not as good, she consulted her husband. Toru Kumon who was a high school Math teacher at that time began designing worksheets for his son. After much trials and error, it led to the creation of what is now famously called 'The Kumon Method’.
