The Madras Education System
The real story behind the Madras Education System is a discovery by a Scottish gentleman in our indian village
Key details of the Madras System include:
Origin: Inspired by traditional South Indian village schools (Pial schools) observed by Scottish chaplain Andrew Bell between 1789 and 1796 at the Male Orphan Asylum in Madras.
Methodology: A single teacher could instruct hundreds of pupils by using bright students as "helpers" to pass on information, check work, and manage smaller groups.
Curriculum: Focused on basic literacy and numeracy, including reading, writing in sand, and arithmetic.
Impact: It became the foundation for mass education in England and was utilized throughout the British Empire in the early 19th century.

Children Are Born Scientists and Engineers
At 3–5 years, children are naturally curious—they ask “why?” endlessly, experiment by pouring water from one cup to another, and build wobbly block towers to see how high they can go. STEAM simply gives structure and vocabulary to what they already love doing.
