NSRCEL helps you build your idea into an enterprise. It is one of the earliest business incubators in India. Incubation is open to all entrepreneurs - across sectors, domains and industries. At the FinTech Clinic as part of FinTech Centre of Excellence, an initiative of NSRCEL in partnership with Government of Karnataka, founders engaged with regulators, industry experts, CIOs, and CDOs through focused, one-on-one closed-door discussions to explore challenges, gain actionable insights, and discover opportunities for growth.

Sahil Kini, CEO, Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), shared insights from his entrepreneurial journey, the importance of market timing and building strong teams, and emerging opportunities in India’s digital public infrastructure, AI-driven financial services, and digital lending.

Pramod Rao, Former Executive Director, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), offered perspectives on how fintech founders can engage with regulators, navigate compliance requirements, build partnerships with financial institutions, and bring innovative solutions to market.

From navigating regulatory complexities to unlocking enterprise partnerships, the clinic brought founders closer to the insights, expertise, and connections that can help move fintech innovation forward.

How do you take hardware innovation from the lab to the market and build a venture that’s ready to scale? 🚀

As part of the Velocity – Kotak BizLabs Accelerator Programme, a CSR initiative by Kotak Mahindra Bank in partnership with NSRCEL, we hosted From Lab to Venture Scale: Building and Scaling Hardware Startups.

Featuring Kaustubh Patekar, Founder, ProdZen and Head of Products, Biome, the session explored how hardware startups can translate complex technologies into commercially viable solutions and build pathways to scale.

From validating customer pain points and achieving product-market fit to securing paid POCs, navigating enterprise sales, and developing strong value propositions, founders gained practical insights into building market-ready ventures.

The discussion also covered channel partnerships, market-led pivots, access to labs and manufacturing facilities, and incubator networks as enablers of customer adoption and business growth.

Through the program, we continue to equip revenue-stage tech startups with the strategic insights and ecosystem connections needed to turn innovation into impact.

NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore has partnered with the District Administration, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, as Knowledge and Advisory Partner for the Nalanda Project, run under the Nalanda Prabandhan Sewa Samiti, Chhattisgarh.

The MoU was signed at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore by Mayank Chaturvedi, District Magistrate, Raigarh, and Rasika Prashant, CEO, NSRCEL, marking the start of our collaboration.

The Nalanda Project will be built around four initiatives:
Startup Incubation Centre
AI and Makers Lab
STEM Lab
Career Counselling Centres

Our aim is to connect education, skills, innovation and entrepreneurship, so that young people in Raigarh have more opportunities to learn, build and grow.

The signing was also a chance for startups from our programs to meet the Raigarh team and discuss how they could engage with the district. We look forward to working closely with the District Administration as the Nalanda Project takes shape.
