APS Kamaraj Road had the privilege of hosting Aasha Malviya, an inspirational cyclist known for her incredible endurance and dedication to promoting women's empowerment through sports. It is a rare event to have someone who inspires by her mere grit and perseverance. Her visit was a highly anticipated event, generating excitement and curiosity among students and staff alike and her first word a resounding Bharat Mata Ki Jai let to a thunderous round of applause as the ground reverberated with the sound of energy, vigour and patriotism.
Aasha then took the stage to share her story. She spoke about her early struggles, the challenges she faced in pursuing her passion, and how she overcame societal barriers to achieve her dreams. Her narrative was filled with anecdotes of perseverance, resilience, and the importance of believing in oneself. Coming from humble beginnings from a small village in Madhya Pradesh Aasha chose not to allow her modest background to define her personality. The students listened intently, captivated by her experiences and the lessons she imparted.
Aasha Malviya, an advocate for women's rights and an accomplished athlete, has cycled across various challenging terrains, breaking stereotypes and inspiring countless individuals with her journey. She has covered 26,000 Kilometres across the country to raise promote Women Safety and Women empowerment.
She has now embarked on a journey to take forward the message of brotherhood and patriotism which will conclude in Kargil in honour of the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas.
