World Ozone Day or International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer is observed annually on 16 September. The day is dedicated to highlight the importance of Ozone layer and its significant contribution in protecting our planet Earth. Ozone layer is made up of Trioxygen molecule (O3) and has the potential to absorb harmful Ultraviolet (UV) rays.

This year’s theme for the International Day of Democracy, “Empowering the next generation,” focuses on young people’s essential role in advancing democracy and ensuring that their voices are included in the decisions that have a profound impact on their world.

Groundnut, which is also known as peanut or monkey nut. It is found in the roots of the plant. It is an annual leguminous crop cultivated for edible purposes. It is mainly used for the manufacture of hydrogenated oil.
