We are delighted to share that Dr. Prasanta Moharaj, Assistant Professor of Sociology at the School of Law, Dayananda Sagar University, has been awarded a prestigious research grant from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Education, Government of India!

Dr. Moharaj will serve as a Co-Project Director on the ground-breaking research project titled: “Evaluation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Enhancing Community Health and Economic Prosperity: Evidence from Selected Indian States.” The project brings together a dynamic team of esteemed researchers like Dr. Suresh Kumar Patra (Central University of Rajasthan), Dr. Dibakar Sahoo (Banaras Hindu University), and Prof. Aparajita Biswal (Rama Devi Women’s University). Together, they will contribute invaluable insights to India's sustainable development discourse. We take immense pride in Dr. Moharaj's achievement and the collective effort of this distinguished team.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at DSU hosted an engaging hands-on workshop on “Analog Design Flow Using Cadence Tool Suite” 🖥️⚙️. With expert guidance from Dr. Vimala P and Dr. Madhura R, participants explored the art of Analog Circuit Design, from Schematic Entry to Layout Verification. 📊 Exploring the Power of Data Analytics! 💻

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering conducted a session of the hands-on workshop on "Data Analytics with RapidMiner for Real-World Applications" in Lecture Hall 4, A Block, SOE, DSU. Experts Mr. Abhishek Mattihalli (Data Scientist, Altair), Ms. Srushti B Yalgudri (DSU Alumnus & Data Scientist), and Mr. Deepak Bhadoria (Manager, Altair) guided students through practical techniques like K-Nearest Neighbors, PCA, Decision Trees, Recommender Systems, and Image Identification in Videos, blending theory with hands-on learning. With 180 students participating, the session, coordinated by Dr. Basavaraj N Hiremath, Dr. Savitha Hiremath, and Prof. Muthu Bala N, was a resounding success. Excellent feedback highlighted its interactive approach and industry relevance. A big thank you to the resource persons and organizers for an insightful session!
