As part of the Life Skills Programme, Grade 8 students from the CBSE and Cambridge curricula participated in an engaging session on “Anti-Bullying”, led by our counsellor, Ms. Savitha Rao.

Through case studies, real-life situations, discussions and interactive activities, students explored the forms and impact of bullying, its underlying causes, and the important difference between a bystander and an upstander.

The session encouraged students to speak up, show empathy, seek support and stand up for others. Their daily pledge to choose kindness, respect and responsible behaviour reinforced a powerful message.

Together, we can create a school community where every student feels safe, valued, respected and included.

GCIS commemorated India’s Independence with grandeur, pride, and patriotic fervour, reminding our students that freedom is not merely a legacy. It is a responsibility we carry forward.

The celebration began with a dignified Guard of Honour, followed by an inspiring House-wise March Past that reflected discipline, unity, and team spirit. The patriotic dance competition brought creativity and national pride together, while the energetic Lezim display, patriotic dance, and evocative rendition of “Desh Raag” filled the atmosphere with emotion and pride.

As we remember those who gave us the gift of freedom, may our students grow into responsible citizens who honour that legacy through their actions, character, and contributions to India’s future.

Let freedom inspire us. Let knowledge empower us. Let responsibility guide us.

As part of our theme “My Neighbourhood & Community Helpers,” the little learners of GCIS Kindergarten set off on an exciting neighbourhood discovery adventure!

With curious eyes and eager hearts, our children explored their surroundings from the bus, spotting shops, supermarkets, hospitals and the metro station along the way. Every sight became an opportunity to connect classroom learning with the world around them.

The adventure continued with visits to the Police Station and Post Office, where our young explorers observed, asked questions and interacted with the wonderful community helpers who keep our neighbourhood safe, connected and organised.

From understanding the role of a police officer to discovering how our postal system works, every conversation sparked curiosity and every experience built awareness.

Because meaningful learning happens when children see, question, explore and experience the world for themselves.

At GCIS, we believe that every neighbourhood is a classroom and every community helper is a teacher.

Learning comes alive when students can explore, create, and apply concepts in meaningful ways. Our Cambridge Grade 3 students explored Prisms and Pyramids through an engaging hands-on Mathematics activity. Using shape nets, they constructed different 3D models and transformed them into creative real-life objects, strengthening their understanding of geometry while developing critical thinking, creativity, spatial awareness, problem-solving, and fine motor skills.

This enriching experience helped students see how Mathematics connects with the world around them, making learning more interactive, purposeful, and memorable.

At Cambridge, we inspire learners to discover through experience, create with confidence, and turn knowledge into action.
