English with Sim & Poo Welcome to Sim & Poo's Learning Hub! Master real-life expressions for flawless native-like fluency. That also brought an end to the Institute! We were devastated.

Welcome to Sim & Poo's Magical Learning Hub! ✨

Our Spoken English Centre, the famous GEETA’S ENGLISH INSTITUTE was started by our mother in 1976. She was a pioneer in the field and ran the course super successfully for 42 years. The year 2018 brought us a severe blow with her sudden and untimely demise. It took us over 2 years to gather ourselves back. We then realised that we couldn’t let her enormous efforts go to waste. The onus of the golden course was now on us. We had to carry forward the legacy. Apart from being trained under her impeccable guidance ( the best certificate ever !) my sister and I are both certified ESL/EFL/TESOL trainers
We have taught in the USA, HongKong and China. With great pride and honour we have been running the course online - reaching people across the globe. The joy it brings is unmatchable! It is our tribute to our Mom ! ❤️

A CHEF’S KISS is a gesture and phrase that means something is completely perfect, excellent, or of the highest quality.

The Action: You press your fingers and thumb together, touch them to your lips to kiss them, and then pull your hand away while spreading your fingers open.

It acts as a sign of deep satisfaction, approval, or delight.

While it started as a way to praise a delicious meal, people now use it for anything that hits the mark.

Eg. “That outfit is a chef’s kiss” or “The way the movie ended was pure chef’s kiss.”

“Excuse me” and “Excuse you” may sound similar, but they mean very different things! 🤔

✅ Excuse me = Polite. Use it to get someone’s attention, pass by, or apologize.

❌ Excuse you = Usually sounds rude, sarcastic, or expresses surprise at someone’s behavior.

One small change… a completely different meaning!

OSTRICH MENTALITY
The name comes from the common legend that ostriches bury their heads in the sand to avoid danger. This effect is a cognitive bias where people tend to “bury their head in the sand” by avoiding learning of potentially negative but useful information, to prevent psychological discomfort

MOST UNATTRACTIVE TRAITS ARE NOT PHYSICAL.
Some of the guaranteed ways to turn people off are dishonesty, thanklessness, arrogance, ‘a know it all attitude’ and so on.
