Mathematics Department, St. Joseph's College, Bangalore

ICTP will dedicate a day to mathematics on Monday 21 February as it celebrates the awarding of the 2021 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize to Indian mathematician Neena Gupta, and presents the first lecture by its new Ramanujan International Chair, Don Zagier.

The ceremony, under the title "Ramanujan Day: A Celebration of Mathematics", will be held in a hybrid format from ICTP's Budinich Lecture Hall and online via Zoom starting at 7 pm IST.

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) under it's programme Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) has invited application for Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE).

INSPIRE (SHE) aims to enhance rates of attachment of talented youth to undertake higher education in science intensive programmes, by providing scholarships and mentorship. The scheme offers 10,000 Scholarship every year at Rs 0.80 lakh per year for the talented youth in the age group 17-22 years, for undertaking Bachelor and Masters level education in natural sciences.

The main feature of the scheme is the mentorship support provided to every scholar.

An Initiation to Mathematics (InitMath) will be organized Organized by Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai under the aegis of Mathematics Training and Talent Search (MTTS) TRUST during March 07–12, 2022.

B.Sc. 3rd year and M.Sc. first year students of Mathematics from the state of Chattisgarh may apply.
The programme will be conducted in person with limited number of students following the COVID guidelines.
