Online classes have opened up access for children to incredible experts from around the world. One of the people we're most excited about having on the platform is

Sangeetha is a prominent nature and wildlife artist. She enjoys working in collaboration with wildlife enthusiasts, researchers and organizations on various art-science projects, to help build awareness through education and outreach. Combined by a strong urge to share her passion for creating art from the natural world, she co-founded 'GreenScraps', nature journaling workshops, with a hope to inspire a new generation of nature artists.

Snigdha is a biologist, and a science and nature educator. She has been teaching science at alternative schools for 8+ years and has collaborated with educators across India to make science fun, experiential, and relevant for children. She's based in Goa, where she loves to explore it's diverse and rich ecosystems full of fascinating beings. She believes that rather than learning science in traditional classroom settings, it is best learnt through exploration- of one’s backyards, local ecosystems, kitchens, toys, and general tinkering!

Creepy or way cool?! Join us on an interactive virtual walk around Liana Forest Farm to meet a host of nocturnal animals. We meet vipers, a tarantula, hedgehogs, scorpions and more. Children look into the (in some cases many) eyes of these creatures, get to know them a little better and understand how truly amazing they are. Classes are small-group and almost full so block a place soon if you're interested!

Samuel John is the co-founder of Spiders and the Sea, a social enterprise working towards bridging people and nature - through research, outreach and creative storytelling. As a researcher, he is interested in spider behaviour and natural history. When he's not photographing spiders or writing about them, he can be seen playing the blues for them.

We’re so excited that he’s part of the community at Nerdbird! Have a look at his first class with us, ‘Amazing World of Spiders’ through the link in our bio.
