There’s no getting around it: children LOVE role-playing. Since they’re less likely to grow bored of toys that engage their imagination, Dojo Panda's selection of toys for pretend play is perfect to keep them occupied for long stretches of deep, uninterrupted play. Role-play develops logic and empathy, as kids are putting themselves in someone else's shoes and trying to understand how they'd think. Pretend play with friends is also a great opportunity for developing social skills. From kitchen sets to tents, these toys are sure to spark your child's imagination and transport them to another world. Link in bio!

Wondering why? In Montessori, the reading process begins with writing – one letter at a time, one sound at a time. Montessori teaches writing before reading because it works!
1. Early writing builds reading confidence. The first words kids read are often the first ones they write.
2. It is efficient. Once a child learns to write, they have everything they need to read.
3. It is a hands-on approach. Children learn best by doing and making. It fosters a love for language.

Picture books are a fantastic way to connect your child to culture - their own and those of people around the world. The festive season is here, and today, across the world, people welcome the feminine power of Goddess Durga into their homes. If your child is full of questions about Durga Puja or Navaratri or Dussehra we cannot recommend Bhakti Mathur's Amma Tell Me About Durga Puje enough. Vibrant illustrations bring the colour and energy of this Indian festival to life, and children will demand the book be read to them again and again! While you're at it, do check out all of Bhakti Mathur's books on Diwali, Holi, Ganesh and other festivals. A must have in your home library.

Tired of your little darling chewing and drooling over their books? Well, it's a common problem, and no reason to not read to your toddler. Which is why we think it's crucial to have a collection of board books handy when reading to the littles. Board books are durable, something very important as small kid like to treat their books as chewables! Plus, their simple concepts and colorful illustrations are beneficial for early learning and development. Swipe to see some of our (and our readers') favourite board books by Karen Katz which explore and celebrate every day concepts, family, festivals, body parts and more!
