Coding bootcamps in India, like SCALER, Masai School, and others, still lure students with promises of high-paying tech jobs, despite stories like the fake Wolf Gupta incident. They claim graduates earn INR 10 LPA, but many students report much lower salaries, often around INR 3-4 LPA or unpaid internships at struggling startups.
For those without a coding background, bootcamps can be a tough journey. While success stories are advertised, many students feel unprepared for the competitive job market. The promise of being "job-ready" after a few months rarely holds up.
With subpar teaching and sky-high fees, many students say they'd learn more from free resources like YouTube or Udemy. The better path? Build your GitHub, join hackathons, and sharpen your skills through hands-on projects.
