Let’s begin the new year by adopting the sunnah of Sahaba…

Abdullah ibn Hisham (Radiyallahu ‘Anhu) reported that when they approached a new month or year, the Sahabah (Radiyallahu ‘Anhum) would learn the following Dua like they learnt the Qur’an:

اللَّهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ، وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ، وَجِوَارٍ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَرِضْوَانٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ

“O Allah, bring this (year) upon us with security and faith, safety and Islam, protection from shaytaan and with Your Pleasure.”

This is the time for this dua:-
Prophet said:
"The best of supplication is the supplication of the Day
of `Arafah. And the best of what I and the Prophets
before me have said is: None has the right to be
worshipped but Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him
belongs all that exists, and to Him belongs the Praise,
and He is powerful over all things. (Lā ilāha illallāh,
waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu,
wa huwa `alā kulli shai'in qadīr)."

لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء
قدير

تقبل الله منا ومنكم.... To all the brothers and sisters around the globe.. have a blessed Eid.. May Allah accept all our deeds...
