At Smiti Montessori House of Children, World Environment Day is more than a celebration—it is an opportunity to nurture a lifelong connection with nature.
Today, our children carried home saplings, tiny living reminders that caring for the Earth begins with small, meaningful actions.
In a Montessori environment, children learn to respect and care for all living things, developing a sense of responsibility towards the world around them.
A child's connection with nature fosters wonder, empathy, gratitude and a deeper understanding of their place in the world.
As the future caretakers of our planet, every seed of awareness we plant today grows into a greener, kinder tomorrow.
Learning with a Smile...Growing with Nature.

At Smiti Montessori House of Children, our Montessori Fest blossomed into a beautiful celebration of learning—where flowers became the thread connecting every area of the Montessori environment. From EPL and Sensorial to Arithmetic, Language and Culture, each experience was thoughtfully woven to bring concepts to life.
This enriching journey was designed by our Academic Consultant, Ms. Vaishali Nadgir and brought alive through the dedicated research and presentations by our Montessori adults alongside the children.
Our Montessori adults went far beyond preparation—they engaged in deep research, thoughtfully designed and created new materials, carefully guided each child through the process of exploration. With great patience, they nurtured the children’s confidence, preparing them to speak in front of an audience and supporting them in their artistic endeavours too.
Our children participated with great enthusiasm—many stepping forward to speak in front of an audience for the very first time, a truly special milestone.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our parent community for taking time from their busy schedules to visit Smiti and encourage the children.

On the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr—a celebration that gently fills our homes with warmth, light and togetherness—the children at Smiti Montessori House of Children embarked on a beautiful journey of creation.
With quiet focus, our little ones crafted exquisite lanterns—each one a delicate reflection of patience and creativity.
Through this meaningful hands-on experience, the children transformed simple materials into something truly luminous, echoing the spirit of the festival in their own unique way.
Wishing everyone Eid Mubarak

At Smiti Montessori House of Children, our children experienced the spirit of Ugadi in its truest essence.
With great enthusiasm, they gathered fresh mango leaves— plucked by Dil Uncle—washed them with care, and separated each leaf from its branch.
They then wove these into beautiful torans—traditional mango leaf festoons adorning entrances during Ugadi, symbolising positivity and a gracious welcome to all.
Celebrating Ugadi the Montessori way—through meaningful experiences, cultural connection and creativity.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Ugadi.
