At St. John’s, we firmly believe in the motto of *“No Child Left Behind.”*

Guided by this commitment, we have launched a new initiative to support students who require assistance in strengthening their foundational learning skills.

As part of this effort, a structured Foundational Learning Support System has been established to identify and address learning gaps, ensuring that every child receives the support needed to progress with confidence.

This programme is being implemented in collaboration with Edufocus Academy, an organization specializing in evidence-based learning techniques and strategies designed to accelerate learning and help students achieve their full academic potential. The programme will be overseen by a qualified psychologist who will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide appropriate guidance and interventions.

Through this partnership, we aim to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child is empowered to learn effectively, build confidence, and experience success.

Drug Awareness Workshop

Our school recently conducted an insightful drug awareness session led by Ms. Suma Rao, Management Facilitator and Student Counsellor. Two separate sessions were held for students of Grades 6–8 and Grades 9–10, keeping in mind their different levels of understanding and exposure.

The workshop began by addressing common myths surrounding va**ng, especially the misconception that va**ng is safer than smoking. Students were made aware of the harmful chemicals present in vapes and the serious risks of ni****ne addiction.

The discussion then moved on to alcohol consumption, including recent research suggesting that there may be no completely safe limit for alcohol intake.

As many students had questions and misconceptions about ma*****na due to its legalization in some countries, the session focused on separating myths from facts and understanding its effects on the developing brain.

The workshop also covered hard drugs and explained how substances can affect memory, impulse control, motivation, and overall brain development during adolescence. Real-life anecdotes illustrating the serious consequences of drug use deeply engaged the students and reinforced the importance of making safe choices.

The sessions were highly interactive, and students had many thoughtful questions, all of which were openly discussed and answered. The workshop concluded with a strong and resounding message from the students themselves:

“Just Say No.”

At St. John’s School, in collaboration with PCA charitable trust and the Urban Primary Health Centre, a free vaccination drive was successfully conducted for girl children aged 14 years and above, with the aim of helping prevent cervical cancer and promoting long-term health and well-being.

The vaccination was administered at the school premises by authorized health officials, ensuring a safe, secure, and reliable process for all participants. Parents extended their wholehearted support by providing consent and encouraging their children to be part of this important health initiative.

Participation in the drive was completely voluntary, and this meaningful effort marks a significant step towards creating a healthier and safer future for our children.

Special thanks to Mr. Simon and Dr. Krishna for conducting this vaccination drive at our school.
