What does an SLP actually do?

For SLP Month, we asked people this simple question — and while many knew us as “speech therapists,” our work goes far beyond just helping someone talk. 💙

From Early Intervention, Feeding, AAC, Swallowing, Voice and Fluency, to supporting individuals with Neurological Disorders, Cognitive Communication Disorders, Dyslexia, Pragmatic difficulties, Articulation and Speech Sound Disorders — SLPs work across every stage of communication and connection.

We also support Caregiver Training, Cancer Rehabilitation, and individuals with Cleft & Craniofacial Anomalies, helping improve not just speech, but overall quality of life. 🌸

At Sakya Foundation’s Mother’s Day celebration, our NIOS kids ran exciting stalls, mothers enjoyed fun games, and everyone came together over pani puri, buttermilk, butter garlic toast, and fresh fruit salad.
Grateful for these moments that celebrate our amazing mothers and the spirit of our children.
