Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted the technical talk on Video Analytics: An Emerging Frontier in AI and ML Applications” for 6th semester CSE students under the leadership of Dr. M Ravishankar, Principal, DSATM and Dr.Kavitha C, Hod-CSE, DSATM.The experts were Shri. Ravindra Dastikop, Gen AI Practice Lead at Pixuate.,Smt. Ramya Kukkaje , Sr HR Manager at Pixuate. The event was coordinated by Dr.Priya Nandihal, Associate Professor, Prof. Sushmitha S, Prof. Shreenidhi B.S.

Dept of Computer Science and Engineering, DSATM in association with Zscalar and ISAC organized a technical talk on Cyber Swachhta series.

Ms. Lakahmi Mini, Head of Intervention addressed the 126 students from 6th semester CSE, who have cleared the CCIO and CPEW certifications along with staff and Faculty who are CCIOs.

She spoke about the roles and responsibilities of a CCIO and how they can guide cyber victims to keep clam and take necessary steps to come out of cyber crimes without any harm.

The event was organised by Prof. Sushmitha S, Dr. Priya Nandihal, Prof. Shylaja B, Prof. Krishna Prasad and Prof. Usha C R under the guidance of Dr. Kavitha C, HOD CSE and the event was Presided by Dr. Nandini C, Vice Principal and HOD CSE-AI.

The CopConnect Cafe was inaugurated at Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM) on 17th may 2024. This initiative, led by the Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) and Department of Computer Science and Engineering , aims to provide a supportive environment for victims of cybercrime. The cafe offers a space where individuals can seek help from certified cybercrime intervention officers and connect with local law enforcement without the stress associated with visiting a police station.

The CopConnect platform is designed to reduce cybercrime by offering a unique ecosystem that includes cyber psychologists, technical experts, cybercrime lawyers, and first responders. The cafe at DSATM will allow victims to book in-person appointments to get the help they need in a private and supportive setting.

Hon’ble Mr Justice H P Sandesh graced the inauguration and emphasised the importance of such initiatives in academic institution
Mr. Akhil Airan from ZScaler and Group Captain Aanand Naidu from ISAC supported DSATM in this unique initiative.

Capture the Flag (CTF) in computer security is an exercise in which participants attempt to find text strings, called "flags", which are secretly hidden in purposefully-vulnerable programs or websites. This event was conducted on 6th February 2024 under the dept. club Algosphere and was coordinated by Harsh Mawandia, Akhil Pendyala and John Charles from 5th semester.

To provide an exposure to the students about social connect and responsibilities A short heritage visit to BELUR A UNESCO HERITAGESITE for 3rd semester students on 08 February 2024 was initiated by the department.
