Me and my beautiful wife have paid lakhs in taxes, which you can verify on the income tax portal. Despite this, I still do not have a good road to travel to my office. My children do not attend government schools.
If an EMI bounces, the bank sends goons. For my daughter's vaccination, marriage certificate, passport verification, and birth certificate, extensive paperwork is required, and every department asks for a bribe. On this point, not even 99% of taxpayers would agree; 100% of taxpayers will agree. Conduct a survey today and prove me wrong—I am ready to accept your challenge.
Online fraud complaints take years to receive a response. When we approach the police station to report an issue, the officers behave as if they hold supreme power.
Instead of increasing taxes, please improve the fine system to enforce discipline and introduce value-added subjects for students to teach them good values.
For instance, breaking traffic rules should incur a fine of ₹50,000 instead of ₹500. Any government officer caught taking bribes should be immediately dismissed from their job. On one incident , a traffic police asked me bribe , i told, what you will teach you son.
As a software engineer with high-speed internet and expertise in software and applications, I have completed my MCA from a reputed institute and was a topper in programming and coding. Despite this, I haven't been able to book a Tatkal ticket on IRCTC for the past ten years. Now, think about the general public who lack software skills and experience with computers. When I pay an agent, the booking is done in 10 minutes. This has led my father to doubt whether I studied properly for my MCA degree.
The last time I visited Chennai for my visa application, I mistakenly brought my car key, which wasn't allowed. I had to pay 2000/- rupees to a dalal to take care of the key for just 2-3 hours. Why can't we have lockers at the US Embassy office? At the very least, they could provide paid lockers.
Tired of honesty, guilt, and constant tax deductions amidst dishonesty.
This has been our experience under the Modi government for the last ten years. I am neither against the BJP nor a supporter of Congress. I am an honest citizen who pays taxes and is simply asking for my rights.
