One of the busiest airports in India in terms of international traffic, Cochin International Airport Limited is running fully on solar energy and became world's first Solar Powered Airport in India. It is Champion of sustainable energy and is also known as Green Airport.

Climate experts have always said that solar energy is the future. Following this, the airport comprises more than 92,000 solar panels spread across 94 acres. The combined energy generation capacity of all the solar panels is more than 1,00,000 units every day. It is also India's first airport to be built under a public-private partnership.

Tampa International Airport has always been a champion of iconic public art as a way to welcome visitors and give them a sense of wonder and whimsy. A giant flamingo has taken over Tampa International Airport, welcoming travelers to the Florida city with a pink art installation.

The sculpture, by artist Matthew Mazzotta, is titled "HOME" and was chosen as one of more than 700 art proposals submitted.
The 21-foot, floor-to-ceiling sculpture sits in the center of the main terminal and is the latest addition to the airport's public art program, which includes commissions from photographs and sculptures to paintings and more.
