Post Graduate in Nursing - M.Sc Nursing

M.Sc Nursing is a course that involves the study of nursing education and research. Every medical/hospital unit requires the assistance of a nurse. Hence it is no surprise that the employment opportunities for nurses would never end. The course provides knowledge on various specialization within nursing.

Duration:
2 Years

Eligibility:
Pass in B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with 55% marks, minimum 1 year of work experience after BSc Nursing.

Bachelor of Nursing - B.Sc Nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or BSc Nursing is a 4 year under graduate course and the minimum eligibility criteria for which is the successful completion of 10+2 level of education in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Duration:
4 years

Eligibility:
Pass in PUC/10+2 with 45% marks in Science Subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Age:
Must have completed 17 years of age by 31st December of the year of admission.

Post Basic in B.Sc Nursing - P B B.Sc Nursing

PBBSc course is designed to provide a balanced education to competent professional nurses with scientific innovative ideas in solving health problems of the community. This program is to prepare young professionals to apply nursing activities in health care system.

2 years

Eligibility:
Pass in GNM

Age:
No candidate who is above 48 years of age by 31st December of the year of admission shall be eligible.

General Nursing and Midwifery

The General Nursing and Midwifery course aims at preparing the nursing professionals to take up the responsibility as a health team member in the health care delivery system. This course helps young professionals tp apply relevant knowledge from biological and behavioral science in carrying out nursing activities in health care system.

Three Years.

Eligibility:
Pass in PUC/10+2 with 40% marks in any stream.

Age:
Must have completed 17 years of age by 31st December of the year of admission.
