On 15 August 1947, India became independent after nearly two centuries of British rule. The day marked the culmination of a long freedom movement, shaped by the courage, sacrifices and determination of countless Indians who stood together for a free nation.
Today, we remember their contribution with gratitude and celebrate the values that continue to shape the India we are building.
