Society is obsessed with milestones. We celebrate first steps, first words, first awards. We compare grades, test scores, and job titles. But what if we measured success differently? What if, instead of focusing on when a child walks or how well they do on an exam, we focused on their kindness? Their ability to listen? Their capacity to love?
Psychologists have long studied the impact of early childhood experiences, and the findings are clear: the environment a child grows up in shapes their entire life. Not just in terms of intelligence, but in emotional regulation, resilience, and self-worth. A child who feels safe, loved, and valued will grow into an adult who knows their worth. They may not always have the highest test scores, but they will know how to treat people. They will know how to be a good friend, a thoughtful partner, a compassionate leader. And isn’t that the kind of success that truly matters?
Next time you see a child, ask yourself: What do they need most? A perfect report card, or the unwavering knowledge that they are loved? Because in the end, love is the lesson that matters most. ❤️

“Independence is not a static condition; it is a continuous conquest, and in order to reach not only freedom, but also strength, and the perfecting on one’s powers, it is necessary to follow this path of unremitting toil.” (The Absorbent Mind, Chapter 8, p. 90)
Happy Independence day!!

: “O Christmas tree! [lit., ‘O fir tree!’] O Christmas tree! How faithful is your foliage! You ‘green’ not only in the summertime, but also in winter when it snows…”
It sings, of course, of the fir tree. Because a fir tree, as long as it is alive, retains its green plumage throughout the year, it is sometimes used at Christmas to represent “faithfulness”, and when its branches are used as a wreath, it also carries the concept of “eternal life” (from its circular shape). The triangular shape of the tree lent itself to its use as a representation of the trinity by Christians. If one uses a star at the top, it is representative of the Star of Bethlehem.

One day a mom finally decided to let her little boy know that Santa doesn't actually exist. When she told him, he started to laugh and said, "Oh, Mamma! I've known for a long time that Santa Claus didn't exist!" Surprised, the mom asked, "But why didn't you ever tell me?" To which the boy replied, "Because it always made you so happy." -Maria Montessori, 'The Child in the Family' 🥰🎄

Children learn language just living around it. The environment we have enrich child's language further. So why do we sing songs and narrate stories?
