Teacher’s Day Celebration – 2024

On Friday, 13th September 2024, at 10:30 AM, Sri Krishna Educational Institution organized a Teacher's Day celebration at the college auditorium. The event had esteemed Kannada writer, thinker, and humorist Prof. Krishnegowda as the chief guest. Honorary guest Prof. Harinath, an educational expert, also graced the occasion.

The event was presided over by the institution's founder and president, Dr. M. Rukmangada Naidu, with other dignitaries in attendance including Vice President Mrs. Jalajakshamma, Director of Postgraduate Studies Prof. Venugopal, Principal Dr. Kamala Sugandhi, Academic Director Prof. S P Manohar, UG College Principal Dr. N. Usha Kumari, Evening College Principal Prof. Changappa, PU Science Principal Manjunath, ICSE School Principal Mrs. Padma Navaneeth, and other faculty members, lecturers, teachers, and staff of the college.

In his speech, the chief guest, Prof. Krishnegowda, emphasized that teachers should impart not only academic knowledge but also life values to students. He expressed concern that with the rapid growth of education and technology, the traditional role of teachers might diminish in the future. He noted that human values in society are declining, and since students can access vast amounts of information online, their respect for elders, including parents and teachers, is decreasing. In the past, teachers assessed students' intellectual capacity and values, but now, students are in a position to evaluate the teachers themselves, owing to the accessibility of knowledge through the internet. He urged teachers to incorporate intellectualism, wisdom, and good behavior in their teaching to positively influence students, molding them into good citizens. Prof. Krishnegowda also pointed out that the country is drifting towards foreign cultures and neglecting its own traditional values. He urged teachers to educate students about preserving Indian culture and values.

Honorary guest Prof. Harinath addressed the gathering, stressing that teachers must understand the mental state of students and guide them in intellectual, technical, scientific, and cultural matters. He emphasized the importance of offering proper guidance to students.

Dr. M. Rukmangada Naidu, the institution’s founder, presiding over the event, remarked that only teachers have the power to shape students into good citizens of the country. He expressed happiness over the consistent high performance of students across all levels, from KG to PG, and credited the dedication of teachers for this achievement. On this occasion, BCA student Kumari Sharanya was felicitated for securing the first rank in Bengaluru City University. Dr. Naidu congratulated the teachers and acknowledged their efforts as essential for the institution’s growth.

On the day of National Sports Day in SKDEC ❤️

78th Independence Day was celebrated at Sri Krishna Group of Institutions.

The flag was hoisted by the dignitaries accompanied by the heads of various departments.

The chief guest gave a brief speech on how the students are the future of our nation and how they should be responsible for their behavior and what they should do to make our country proud.

The program concluded with the National Anthem.
