Tapas is an innovative educational institution that combats the problems of student disengagement and low academic achievement by creating personalised, project-based learning environments where students are given the impetus to be the best they can be!

With children climbing trees before climbing grades, conversations flowing more freely than instructions, and learning happening naturally through curiosity, movement, observation, and play.

At Tapas, outings are not “activities outside the classroom.” They are the classroom.

You’ll often find learners balancing on branches, helping each other across streams, noticing tiny details in nature, asking unexpected questions, laughing loudly, getting muddy, solving things on their own, and returning home a little more confident than before.

Because we believe children learn best in spaces where they feel free to explore, free to wonder, free to move, free to be fully themselves.

And honestly, the energy says it all ✨

We build.
We question.
We explore.
We grow.

Every experience becomes a lesson in confidence, curiosity, and collaboration.

That’s what growing up is about.

At Tapas Progressive School, learning goes beyond textbooks.
We focus on real-life skills—growing food, creating, building, and hands-on experiences—while strengthening strong academic foundations through personalized learning.

Here’s what that looks like:
• Experiential learning with high academic standards
• Applying knowledge to real life
• Encouraging creativity and problem-solving
• Learning by doing, not just consuming

We’re nurturing confident, capable, lifelong learners.

It didn’t begin on the runway.

It began with questions

What does fashion say about who we are?

Where do we come from?

What do we choose to become?

From ancient civilisations to the pulse of today, learners stepped into time, researching, designing, and experimenting. Threads became stories. Fabrics became identity. Colours, movement, and form came alive with intention.

They didn’t just create outfits, they built narratives.

They didn’t just walk the ramp; they carried history, culture, and expression with every step.

And in a world of excess, they chose consciousness, transforming discarded materials into something striking, meaningful, and new.

What unfolded was more than a showcase.

It was The Runway of Fashion

where the past was honoured,

The present was expressed,

and the future was designed with purpose.

Small Choices is not just a game, it is a powerful reflection of the world we live in today. Created entirely by our Grade 7 Polaris learners, this experience began with a simple yet thought provoking question: do our everyday habits really make a difference?

Step into a world where every decision counts. From how we use resources to how we manage waste, each action shapes the environment around you in real time. What seems like a small choice today can lead to a sustainable tomorrow or push us closer to environmental collapse.

Built completely from scratch, this immersive experience comes alive through VR, powered by Oculus Quest 3, making every consequence feel real, personal, and impossible to ignore.

More than just innovation, this project is a reminder. Big global challenges may feel overwhelming, but change begins with us, one small choice at a time.

Throwback to Project Happy Café

What began as a simple question, “Can we have our own café where we give people our cookies?” soon turned into something truly magical.

Our little Tapasvis (ages 3–5) didn’t just play café… they created one. From baking and serving to taking orders and welcoming guests, every moment was filled with curiosity, confidence, and joy.

Project Happy Café became more than an activity, it was a beautiful journey of hands-on learning, where children explored real-world experiences while building life skills, friendships, and a sense of responsibility.

Moments like these remind us that when children are given space to wonder, they create experiences that go far beyond the classroom.
