5 things we say to children — and what to try instead. 💛

Words shape how a child sees themselves. As Montessori educators (and parents!), we're constantly learning that small shifts in language can build real confidence, not just compliance.

Swipe through for 5 simple swaps:
1️⃣ "Good job" → "You worked really hard on that"
2️⃣ "No" → "Yes, after lunch"
3️⃣ "Be careful" → "The step is wet, feel how slippery it is"
4️⃣ "Let me help you" → "Would you like to try it yourself first?"
