Part 2/5
During independence, Indians did not have an official national anthem. The song Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata composed by Rabindranath Tagore in 1911 was renamed as ‘Jan Gan Man’ and adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India as the national anthem on 24th January 1950.The parent song is a Brahmo hymn which has five verses and only the first verse has been adopted as National Anthem.

Did you know when lion cubs are born, their eyes are closed until they are two to three weeks old. Even then, they cannot see properly for another few weeks. This is when they are vulnerable to attack from large birds, snakes and even male lions. A lioness will keep her cubs hidden from other lions for around six weeks until they are old enough to follow the pride.

August 15, as India's Independence Day, was chosen by Lord Mountbatten. Although the Indian Independence Act was passed on July 18, 1947, Lord Mountbatten chose August 15 as the day of India's independence since it coincided with Japan's surrender to the Allies during World War II.

Simplified Series: Chadrayaan-3 (Part 3)
Did you know that LVM3 (Launch Vehicle Mark-III), which carried the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft into Earth’s orbit, went through more than 3000 wind tunnel tests at the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) facilities in Bengaluru. These tests helped mission scientists understand more about the aerodynamics of the rocket and how air will flow around it when it is in flight.
This post aims to provide visual aid in understanding the concept.

India's third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3 has completed its orbits around earth and has sucessfully entered lunar orbit.
If Chandrayaan-3 is a success, it would be India's first successful landing of equipment on the lunar surface.
Even though India has satellites orbiting the moon, certain kinds of data can be collected only from the surface of the cosmic body, as opposed to data collected from the orbit.
