An Era of AI Leadership has just concluded at the ISACA Bangalore Chapter!
From September 29th to Sep 31st, 2025, the ISACA Bangalore Chapter hosted a three-day Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) certification program. We extend our immense gratitude to Prof. Kersi Porbunderwala for his leadership in initiating, traveling from Copenhagen to Bangalore, and successfully conducting and concluding this program.
Over 50 IT professionals participated, gaining deep insights into the global AI landscape from expert instructors Prof. Hernan Huwyler and Atul Juvle. The program covered everything from global regulatory compliance and ISO standards to preparing for over 100 potential AI risk scenarios. A key takeaway was the consensus that "cheap AI" doesn't exist. We explored critical ethical dilemmas, such as the choices autonomous cars face, highlighting the complex moral considerations at AI's core.
The central theme was that the future of AI hinges on people and building foundational knowledge across all roles for a responsible approach. Effective regulation should focus on outcomes, and a strong culture and skilled mindset are more vital than the technology itself. A special session on "AI – India Lenses" addressed local regulatory guidelines, the importance of bias mitigation, and why boards and CXOs must treat AI risks as a strategic priority.
We thank all participants and the ISACA Bangalore team for making this a platform that prioritizes the governance and ethical foundations of responsible AI.
