Bharatanatyam exam season = adavus, expressions, discipline… and in between, these tiny bursts of laughter 🌵😂

Teaching little ones means balancing “araimandi straight!” with giggles, distractions, and the cutest moments you never plan for.

Because behind every serious practice session, there’s always a little fun waiting to bloom 💃✨

Navaratri is not just a celebration… it is an awakening of Shakti within.

This offering of Mahakali through my dance is not a performance, but a sadhana.

Through every movement, every glance, every breath of abhinaya — I sought to dissolve myself and allow Her presence to flow.

Mahakali is not only fierce…
She is time, transformation, and truth.

To embody Her, even for a moment, is to experience stillness within intensity… silence within Shakti.

This videography became a sacred space for me —
to feel Her, to surrender to Her, and to invite Her presence through expression.

May this reach you not just as a reel, but as a transmission.

May you feel Her Shakti within you this Navaratri.🙏🏻

🌕 Happy Guru Purnima 🌕

On this sacred day, we bow to Adi Guru Lord Shiva—the first Guru, who shared with the world the knowledge of Yoga, Ta**ra, and Sadhana, showing us the path of awakening and liberation.

He is the one who leads us from darkness to light, from ignorance to wisdom.

“Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheshwarah
Guru Saakshaat Param Brahma Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah”

“The Guru is Brahma, the Guru is Vishnu, the Guru is Maheshwara (Shiva). The Guru is the Supreme Absolute. Salutations to that Guru.”

🙏 Om Namah Shivaya 🙏

Navarasas: Pathways to Union with the Divine

The Navarasas, or the nine emotions of life, serve as a profound framework for understanding the breadth of human experience. Within the context of Indian classical arts, particularly dance, these emotions are not just expressions but pathways to spiritual enlightenment and union with the divine. Here’s how each rasa can guide us toward this sacred connection:

1. Shringara (Love and Beauty)

2. Hasya (Laughter)

3. Karuna (Compassion)

4. Raudra (Anger)

5. Veera (Courage)

6. Bhayanaka (Fear)

7. Bibhatsa (Disgust)

8. Adbhuta (Wonder)

9. Shanta (Peace)

Embracing Navarasas for Spiritual Growth
By understanding and embodying the Navarasas, we engage in a holistic spiritual practice that encompasses the full range of human emotions. Each rasa provides a unique pathway to experience and express the divine, leading us to a deeper understanding of our true nature and our connection to the cosmos. In the dance of life, the Navarasas guide us towards the ultimate union with the divine, where every emotion becomes a step on the path to spiritual awakening.
