Sharing moments from an unforgettable walk into the wild with our alumnus .shanavas - wildlife enthusiast, herpetologist and author of 'The Light of Wilder Things'. 

Earlier this month, Ishan spent time with our students, sharing stories from his life with animals and in nature. Stories peppered with humorous anecdotes and demonstrations, with the occasional quiz woven in. The room was transfixed as he spoke about forests, snakes, close encounters, and the importance of staying calm and respectful around wildlife.

What was truly remarkable was Ishan's gentle, patient way of sharing his passion for wildlife and nature, which left our students inspired and eager to learn more.

Celebrating yet another year of creativity and innovation at Sishu Griha with our Senior School Club Exhibition. From tech-driven solutions and safety models to sustainable crafts and compelling literary work, the exhibition was a true reflection of curiosity and teamwork.

It was a proud celebration of creativity, collaboration, and purposeful learning - and a wonderful reminder of what young minds can achieve together.

What a wonderful workshop our Montessori to Grade 6 children enjoyed with Rhythmic Energy, one of India's premier alternative fusion brass bands. Founded in 2006, this incredible ensemble of over 50 musicians has been creating unforgettable musical experiences for 18 years. 

The band's unique sound blends pop, rock, blues, Bollywood, Indian classical, and global fusion with vibrant percussion and bold brass. Trained under renowned musicians including Maynard Ferguson, Dr Paul Erhard, and Harry Geurts, they perform a wide repertoire from grand marches to iconic compositions.

Inspired by Sri Sathya Sai Baba's teachings, Rhythmic Energy approaches every performance with discipline, unity, and heart. Our children were captivated by this engaging musical journey that showcased the power and beauty of live ensemble performance.

Our Grade 5 children experienced democracy in action during their Social Studies field trip to Vidhana Soudha. The campus security and grand architecture left them fascinated from the moment they arrived. Highlights included attending a Lower House assembly session and meeting the Education Minister, who warmly explained the importance of education, the differences between school systems, and shared impressive numbers about Karnataka's educational landscape.

Truly an enriching experience for our children to connect classroom lessons with real-world governance and learning.

Sishu Griha Senior School celebrated Graduation Day for Grade 10 children on January 31, 2026. Dressed in formal attire, our confident graduates marked this important milestone surrounded by family and teachers. The evening opened with the Grand Graduation March and Invocation Song, followed by the symbolic Lighting of the Lamp.

Sacred readings from spiritual texts created a reflective atmosphere. Class teachers introduced each student, celebrating their unique talents and aspirations. The Candle Lighting Ceremony was particularly poignant as students took a solemn pledge, holding lighted diyas.

The Student Council and parents shared treasured memories and gratitude. Students received special mementoes before Mrs Sheela Venkataraman offered the Vote of Thanks. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem and teachers blessing the graduates as they stepped forward with confidence and hope.

We were delighted to host Bangalore Little Theatre's production THE STAR on January 28, 2026 - a beautiful adaptation of Satyajit Ray's "Patol Babu, Film Star." The performance captivated our 370 children and teachers with its innovative set, powerful message, and remarkable energy. Kudos to the talented actors Mr Vijay Sharma, Prithesh Bhandari, Akash Athwani, Darshan Jain, and Aaienaa Khurana, and director Mr Prithesh Bhandari.

And the best part? Proceeds will support the Shaping Lives Programme, helping underprivileged children navigate challenges like anger management, bullying, and family issues through theatre. Sishu Griha is proud to support initiatives that nurture socially aware, compassionate individuals. This is holistic education in action.

Proud moments at the Indica India Quiz 2026 - Bangalore Edition!
The team of Trivikram Kesavan and Vishnu Sriguru Ganesh (Grade 8) emerged as 1st Runner-Up in the Junior Category, while Shreyaa Vignesh and Hamsiny Patham (Grade 10) secured the 1st Runner-Up position in the Senior Category.

The quiz celebrated curiosity and quick thinking. Both teams were awarded a cash prize, along with certificates, vouchers, and an Indica calendar.

Proud moments for our quiz teams at the Qshala Quriosity Quiz!
The junior team of Tara Kaushik, Vidha Dwarakanathan and Arya Pejawer Bhat (Grade 6) secured the I Runner-Up position, winning a cash prize of ₹5,000 each, along with certificates, trophies, and Bookworm gift vouchers worth ₹750.

Our Grade 9 senior team - Vihaan Reddy, Niyam Basanth and Diwij Shah - claimed the 2nd Runner-Up position, with each student receiving ₹3,000, a certificate, a trophy, and a Bookworm gift voucher worth ₹750.

Adding to the pride, Trivikram Kesavan, Tahir Marcos Philip and Vishnu Sriguru Ganesh (Grade 8) secured the fourth position, earning certificates and a cash prize.

The Junior School Sports Day marked the joyful culmination of a year-long project centred on the theme “Sports.” The day came alive with vibrant, well-coordinated displays including drills, yoga, pyramid formations, karate, and Donne Varase, a traditional village sport. With a variety of races for both students and parents, the event turned into a lively, inclusive celebration of energy, teamwork, and community spirit.

As part of National Road Safety Month (1–31 January 2026), our children from Grades 1 to 12 actively participated in the National Road Safety Mission for Schools, a free, digital learning programme that made road safety education engaging and meaningful.
On 30 January 2026, our staff and senior school children also took the Road Safety Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to safer roads. Some of our children also stepped up to take part in the National Road Safety Olympiad held on 1 February 2026.
We appreciate and applaud all our children and staff for coming together and learning for a safer tomorrow.
