🚀 Exciting news from our lab!

Our latest work, “Polymer matrix drives thermal stimulation-caused dynamic phosphorescence in dispersed chromophores,” has just been published in Nature Communications 🎉

We show how matrix–chromophore interactions govern thermally activated dynamic RTP behaviour, a key insight for functional phosphorescent materials.

Polymer matrices are widely explored for room-temperature phosphorescent materials, but their effects on photophysical properties remain insufficiently explored. Here, the authors report a study considering the electronic and steric impacts of the matrix on thermally stimulated phosphorescence.

Happy to share that our work has been accepted in the Journal of Materials Chemistry C and selected as part of the HOT Papers themed collection by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

This work explores how nodal versus non-nodal chiral tagging impacts the chiroptical properties of naphthalimides, highlighting how subtle electronic positioning can modulate CPL responses.

Congratulations to authors.. Jusaina Eyyathiyil, Maho Kitahara, Daiya Suzuki, Silvano Geremia, Neal Hickey, Yosh*tane Imai and Pakkirisamy Thilagar

We present a systematic investigation into the positional effects of point chirality on the chiroptical behaviour of naphthalimide-based chromophores. Specifically, we compare the effect of chiral tags at electronically distinct positions: the nodal N-imide site (electronically decoupled) and the no...

New Publication Alert!
Axially chiral aminoboranes show enhanced persistent RTP and chiroptical properties. Their long afterglow enables hidden writing! A step forward for metal-free phosphors.

Long-lived triplet exciton harvesting materials are highly desirable for various applications, yet achieving persistent room-temperature phosphorescence (pRTP) in metal-free systems remains challenging. Here, introducing axial chirality into aminoboranes affords steric-hindrance-caused rigidity, res...
