The History of the Peloponnesian war by Thucydides is considered among the basics of Classicial Realism in International Relations theory. Thycydides Trap is now used as a conceptual framework in reference to China vs. USA, and the Russia-Ukraine or India-China conflict. It is studied in PSIR paper II-Section A.
