Are you struggling to lose weight?
Here are 7 things that highly recommend you do in order to lose meaningful amounts of weight in a sensible, realistic and science-backed way
In that sentence above, I wanted to write "7 things you absolutely MUST do..." but this would be a lie
There isn't a single thing in this list that you MUST do
There are other ways of losing weight.
Many, in fact
Keto, cutting carbs, Whole30, Weight Watchers.
They all work
But they often miss 2 important things:
1. SUSTAINABILITY - it's not usually something you can do for the rest of your life
2. EDUCATION - not only do they NOT teach you the big rocks of energy balance, they often BLIND you to those mechanisms, and tell you that something else is behind it
Look - losing weight is hard. If you've only got a bit to lose, you have to be precise and learn to manage hunger
If you have a LOT to lose, you have to change habits of a life-time
If you're used to eating constantly throughout the day, no set meal times, eating until you feel sick, mindlessly snacking on things as you work, rest and play...
You have to change that Permanently. You cannot continue to do any of those things - and that's hard
I'm not saying it's going to be EASY
But it's a hell of a lot easier if you UNDERSTAND what will bring about change and what will not
If you focus on the BIG ROCKS and LOW HANGING FRUIT first
And if you make realistic, sustainable changes, incrementally, and NOT massive overhauls that you can't sustain for more than 14 minutes.
