ICAR-IIHR organized a Khet Bachao Abhiyan awareness programme at Seetakempanahalli Village, Hesaraghatta Hobli, Bengaluru North Taluk, Bengaluru Urban District.

The Khet Bachao Abhiyan, a nationwide initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and ICAR, aims to combat soil degradation and reduce excessive dependence on chemical fertilizers by promoting scientific, soil test-based nutrient management.

Farmers were sensitized on balanced fertilizer use, integrated soil health management, and sustainable agricultural practices for enhancing productivity while conserving soil resources.

ICRISAT and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research will organize Dryland Congress 2026 from 10–12 September 2026 at the NASC Complex, , India, under the theme “Transforming Dryland Agriculture through South–South Cooperation.”

The three-day event will feature high-level plenary sessions, technical discussions, policy dialogues, innovation showcases, the Dryland Expo, startup engagement platforms, and the ISSCA Awards.
