St. John’s Research Institute hosted the official launch of the St. John’s Innovation Grant 2026 at the St. John’s Hospital Mini Auditorium on 18th May 2026.
This new initiative is underway to provide vital early-stage funding and proof-of-concept support for scalable, technology-driven health solutions.
The session brought together passionate minds from across all departments of SJNAHS:
Opening Address: Rev. Fr. Ajith Menezes, ADCR set an inspiring tone for the event, emphasizing the institution's commitment to research, innovation, and creating a real-world impact on the lives of vulnerable populations.
Guest Spotlight: Mr. K Chandrasekhar (Founder & CEO of Forus Health) took the stage to share his invaluable startup and innovation journey, giving our faculty a firsthand look at what it takes to bring impactful medical technology to life.
Grant Briefing: Attendees received an in-depth presentation detailing the application process, criteria, and expectations for the Innovation Grant 2026 by Dr Tony D. S. Raj, Dean, SJRI and Dr Bharat K, Division of Medical Informatics.
Q&A Session: The event wrapped up with a highly interactive Q&A, where faculty engaged directly with the speakers to discuss their ideas and next steps
