Happy International Literacy Day 📖
One book. One choice. One “why.” We asked our students to pick a book — any book — and tell us why it called to them. The answers were as varied as our students themselves: some picked stories about animals, some wanted to know what happens next in a series they love, some were just drawn in by a cover that promised adventure.
At FIS, our teachers don’t just hand students a reading list — they encourage them to explore, choose, and fall in love with stories on their own terms. Because a child who picks up a book by choice is a child who’ll keep reaching for one.

Our students got behind the camera this Teacher’s Day to create something from the heart — a little tribute to the teachers who show up for them, day after day, in ways that go far beyond the syllabus.
No script could capture it better than they just did.

Some lessons never make it to a textbook 📚❤️
We walked around and asked our students a simple question: what’s one thing a teacher taught you that wasn’t in the syllabus? What we got back wasn’t about grammar rules or math formulas — it was about being told it’s okay to make mistakes, learning how to say sorry properly, being reminded to never give up even when it’s hard.
These are the things that stick. Long after the exams are forgotten, it’s these small, human moments that shape who our students become.
To every teacher at FIS who teaches far more than what’s on the syllabus — this one’s for you. Thank you for the patience, the pep talks, the quiet lessons in kindness and courage that don’t come with a chapter number.

Happy Janmashtami 🪈
From mischief to miracles, our students brought the story of Lord Krishna to life this Janmashtami — through dance, drama, and devotion that filled every corner of the stage.
From battling the serpent Kaliya to reaching for the matki high above, every scene was a reminder of why these stories have been told for generations — and why they still matter to the next one.
Here’s to stories that shape us, traditions that connect us, and children who carry them forward with so much joy. Happy Janmashtami, from all of us at FIS! 🦚✨

No two classrooms at FIS look the same
Some days it’s a debate that gets a little heated. Some days it’s a book, read outside under open sky. Some days it’s paint on hands and ideas on the wall.
We believe learning isn’t just about sitting still and staring at a textbook — it’s about curiosity finding its own shape. So we make room for it, in as many ways as we can.
Because when learning feels this fun, it doesn’t feel like “studying” at all.
