Parents' Orientation 2026‑27 | St. Joseph’s School, CBSE, Bangalore
On May 30th, the SJIPS Auditorium hosted the Parents’ Orientation for Pre‑KG to Class 11. The programme began with prayer and welcome, inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo (Principal), Sr. Sheena (Vice Principal), and the Co‑ordinators.

Father shared the school’s vision, Jesuit values, and the 5 C’s of Ignatian education, assuring parents that “Education & Learning will be joyful and impactful.” The leadership team and staff were introduced, followed by presentations on school facilities, rules, and the role of the PTA.

The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking a meaningful start to the academic year.

Faculty Development Programme – Teacher’s Psychology & Professional Effectiveness

On May 27, 2026, St. Joseph’s School organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Teacher’s Psychology & Professional Effectiveness.”

The sessions were led by Dr. Smitha Baboo and Dr. Jacqueline Kareem, Associate Professors from the School of Education, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). The programme highlighted psychological well‑being, emotional intelligence, and the PERMA model of well‑being, offering educators practical strategies for growth and innovation.

In the afternoon, discussions focused on teacher belief systems, Albert Bandura’s self‑efficacy theory, and the teacher identity compass, equipping participants with frameworks to strengthen confidence, self‑awareness, and professional identity.The programme offered meaningful perspectives and practical frameworks, inspiring educators to integrate psychological well‑being and professional growth into everyday teaching.”

Workshop on Safeguarding & Governance in Schools

On 26 May 2026, a workshop on “Safeguarding and Responsible Governance in Educational Institutions” was held at the SJIPS Auditorium, St. Joseph’s Indian Institutions, Bengaluru.

The sessions covered POCSO, POSH, Gender Neutrality, Corporal Punishment, and the Karnataka Child Protection Policy, followed by governance, constitution, and laws in education.

Rev. Fr. Harry Terry SJ and Ms. Sangeetha Thomas, Assistant Professors from St. Joseph College of Law, highlighted the legal and ethical responsibilities of educators in creating safe, respectful, and inclusive schools.

The workshop was informative and enriching, raising awareness on child protection, prevention of harassment, gender sensitivity, and transparent governance.
