Independence Day, Investiture Ceremony & Book Launch – 2026–27
Vasishta School of Excellence celebrated Independence Day 2026 with patriotic fervour on 15 August 2026, alongside its Investiture Ceremony and the launch of “Unknown Planet: An Adventure To Outer Space”, authored by Vrushank of Grade 6.
The celebration featured the flag hoisting, lamp lighting, Investiture Ceremony, oath-taking and a dignified March Past by the newly elected student leaders. The cultural programme showcased vibrant Flower, Fan and Saree Drills, reflecting discipline, creativity and teamwork.
Students of Grades 5 to 10 were felicitated for their achievements, with special appreciation presented to Meda Jaytri for her commendable achievement in the Under-11 Girls’ Singles category at the Karnataka State Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026.
The book launch celebrated Vrushank’s creativity and literary talent, while teachers were also felicitated for their dedicated service. Inspiring addresses by Chief Guest Mr. Vinay Patel and the Chairman brought the programme to a memorable close.
The celebration beautifully reflected patriotism, leadership, creativity and excellence, making the occasion truly inspiring for the entire Vasishta family.

Vasishta School of Excellence celebrated the spirit of India’s 80th Independence Day with a vibrant Special Assembly on 14 August 2026, filled with patriotism, creativity and the colours of our glorious heritage.

Grade 1 opened the celebration with a heartfelt School Prayer, followed by a captivating Freedom Fighters’ Fancy Dress Presentation that brought India’s brave heroes to life.

Grade 2 filled the air with the School Song and Pledge, followed by a spectacular Indian Culture & Heritage – Dance and Drama and an engaging “India Then & Now” Skit.

Grade 3 showcased confidence through a powerful One-Minute Talk, Subhash*ta/Thought of the Day, a special presentation on The Indian National Flag, and an energetic vibrant Patriotic Dance celebrating the spirit of freedom, unity, and love for our beloved nation! .

Grade 4 presented the inspiring “Unity Express – Unity in Diversity”, beautifully celebrating India’s many cultures and one identity, along with the Welcome & Introduction and New Word Introduction.
The assembly also celebrated student achievements through Certificate distributions for competitions, Kargil Vijay Diwas and other competitions.
The celebration concluded with the Principal’s Address, Vote of Thanks, National Anthem and Assembly Dispersal.

Students of Grade 3 – Lotus and Rose enthusiastically participated in a fun-filled Sandwich Making Activity as part of their Science Experiential Learning programme.
The activity provided students with an opportunity to learn through hands-on experience while exploring the importance of healthy food, nutrition, different food ingredients, and balanced meals. The students brought the required ingredients and actively participated in preparing their sandwiches under the guidance of their teacher.
Through this engaging activity, students learned how different ingredients come together to make a nutritious and tasty meal. They also developed essential skills such as teamwork, creativity, coordination, cleanliness, and following instructions.
The cheerful participation and excitement of the young learners made the activity both educational and enjoyable, turning the classroom into a lively learning space where science came alive through real-life experience.

Vasishta School of Excellence celebrated the 80th Independence Day with a vibrant Pre-Primary Parent–Child Fancy Dress Competition at the Indoor Auditorium. The celebration commenced at 10:00 AM with a soulful Prayer, by junior kg students followed by a warm Welcome Speech by Dhashmitha from senior kg. The patriotic spirit soared with a melodious Patriotic Song by senior kg students, after which our Principal Ma’am addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on love for the nation, unity and good citizenship.

The much-awaited highlight was the Parent–Child Fancy Dress Competition, where our little stars and their parents dazzled the audience with creative costumes, confident ramp walks and delightful presentations. Each performance beautifully reflected India’s rich heritage, inspiring personalities and patriotic spirit.

The event concluded with the Results and Prize Distribution, followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ekta from senior kg. The celebration came to a proud close with the National Anthem, leaving everyone filled with joy, gratitude and patriotic pride.

At just 7 years and 6 months, our young champion Jaytri has already made her mark in the world of competitive badminton!
Competing in the Under-11 Girls’ Singles category at the Karnataka State Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026 held in Tumakuru from 27 July to 1 August 2026, Jaytri fearlessly took on players considerably older than her.

Young India Culinary Championship (YICC) – School Level Competition🏅
Vasishta School of Excellence successfully conducted the School Level Young India Culinary Championship (YICC) on 27 July 2026 in accordance with the guidelines issued by CBSE. The competition aimed to encourage students to develop culinary skills, creativity, nutritional awareness, hygiene practices, and confidence through healthy food preparation.
Students enthusiastically participated in two categories as prescribed by CBSE.

👩🏻‍🍳Students from Classes VI to VIII prepared one dish from the categories of Salad, Sandwich, or Canapé within the stipulated 60-minute time limit. As per CBSE guidelines, fire cooking was strictly prohibited.

🧑🏻‍🍳 Students from Classes IX and X participated in the Fire Cooking category, preparing one vegetarian main course from any one of the prescribed cuisines—Indian, Asian, or Modern Western. The participants completed the preparation and presentation within the stipulated 90-minute time limit.
The dishes reflected excellent culinary techniques, balanced nutrition, attractive presentation, and innovative use of ingredients. Participants ensured proper workplace organization, followed food safety measures, and maintained cleanliness throughout the event.

To commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas Vasishta School of Excellence organized a Drawing Competition, on 24th July 2026 to honor the courage, sacrifice and patriotism of the brave soldiers who fought in the Kargil War.
Students from Grade I to VIII enthusiastically participated in the competition. They expressed their respect and gratitude towards the Indian Armed Forces through beautiful and creative drawings. The colorful art works reflected the student’s artistic talent and love for the nation.
The drawings were evaluated on the basis of creativity, originality and presentation. All participants were appreciated for their sincere efforts and enthusiastic participation.
The competition was a great success. It instilled a sense of patriotism, respect for the armed forces and national pride among the students while providing them with an opportunity to showcase their artistic skills.
