"Sometimes the most productive thing to do is to relax" - Mark Black

The entire team at Amyga Foundation , met at an overnight offiste conference (TEAM TIME 2023) in Bangalore this weekend to bond as a team. These rural women have worked hard to take care of their students and families all through the year and it was time for us to make sure they had a day to celebrate their achievements and have fun !

With a lateral thinking workshop, a talent show, adventure games , a treasure hunt, team games and water activities, it was a weekend of learning and fun !

Amyga is as much about the empowerment of rural women as it is about the education of rural children. And it's now time to talk about some of the amazing women who've helped make Amyga what it is today. I still remember how nervous these women were about learning a new pedagogy and teaching in a new language. Some of them had never travelled outside the District. And almost all of them had never travelled without their family members. And today, my heart swells with pride when I see them travelling across the state border to train new teachers and to conduct quality audits ❤️. Some of them are doting mothers of little children and that that doesn't stop them from undertaking business trips to help their colleagues in other locations do better! This helps Amyga ensure standardisation, sharing of best practices, quality, and most importantly, function as one team to deliver world-class education!
