Celebrating Talent, Culture & Creativity! 

Darrick International School Banga witnessed a vibrant celebration of talent and culture, filled with confidence, enthusiasm and joy. The programme began with a warm welcome to the esteemed Management and Principal Ma’am, followed by a beautiful poem and an inspiring speech.

The energetic Bhangra by Class 3 boys, melodious musical performance by Class 4, and graceful Giddha by Class 3 Emma & Frost enthralled the audience and beautifully showcased the richness of Punjabi culture. 

The Principal appreciated the students for their confidence, dedication and wonderful performances, encouraging them to continue exploring their talents and striving for excellence in every sphere of life. The Honble Principal of the school Mrs. Neena Bhardwaj stated while addressing the audience, "Every performance is a reflection of confidence, teamwork and perseverance. Darrick International School, Banga, hosted an enriching CBSE workshop on “Storytelling as a Pedagogical Strategy”, bringing together nearly 60 teachers from Darrick International School and Saupin’s School, Chandigarh. The workshop commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome to the esteemed resource persons, Ms. Harleen Kaur and Ms. Supreet Kaur from Cambridge International School, Jalandhar, and all participating teachers. Ms. Surita Sharma, Principal of Saupin’s School, Chandigarh, also graced the occasion with her presence. The interactive session highlighted storytelling as an effective, innovative, and learner-centred teaching strategy. Through practical activities and demonstrations, the resource persons showcased how storytelling can make learning more engaging and meaningful while developing creativity, imagination, communication skills, critical thinking, confidence, empathy, vocabulary, listening skills, and emotional intelligence. Mrs. Neena Bhardwaj, Principal of Darrick International School, Banga, emphasised that education should move beyond the transmission of information and encourage students to understand, explore, question, and apply their learning. She highlighted storytelling as a powerful bridge between learning and experience, enabling students to become active participants in the learning process. The participating teachers appreciated the workshop as an interactive and enriching professional learning experience and expressed their commitment to incorporating storytelling into classroom pedagogy to make learning more joyful, experiential, and purposeful. The management and team of Darrick International School expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the resource persons, Ms. Surita Sharma, and all participating teachers for their valuable presence and enthusiastic involvement. Darrick International School, Banga celebrated Independence Day with immense patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by Hon’ble Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Neena Bhardwaj, in the presence of the Junior and Senior Student Councils, teachers, and students.

The programme featured an inspiring speech by Ishdeep of Class V Emma, highlighting the significance of freedom and paying tribute to the brave martyrs. The Inter-House Group Song Competition filled the atmosphere with patriotic melodies, followed by an energetic Patriotic Song Mashup by Classes IV and V and a vibrant patriotic dance performance. The winner of InterHouse Group Song Competition was William Shakespeare House.

A soulful rendition of “Mera Bharat Meri Shaan” by Tarun Preet Kaur of Class VIII Frost beautifully celebrated the pride and diversity of India. A special patriotic play on the significance of 15th August further highlighted the courage and sacrifices of our freedom fighters.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Ma’am inspired students to uphold the values of discipline, unity, honesty, responsibility, and patriotism, reminding them that true patriotism is reflected through our actions.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride and responsibility towards the nation.

Little Hands, Big Patriotism: Pre-Wing Celebrates Independence Day Through Creativity
Darrick International School, Banga, celebrated the spirit of Independence Day with a vibrant Pre-Wing Tricolour Activity, beautifully blending patriotism, creativity and experiential learning. The little Darrickians explored the colours of the National Flag through engaging, hands-on activities.
PPP students created colourful Tricolour Bows, PP1 students designed beautiful Tricolour Kites, while PP2 students crafted vibrant Tricolour Bands. These age-appropriate activities not only nurtured their love for the nation but also enhanced fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, creativity, imagination and self-expression.
Hon’ble Principal Mrs. Neena Bhardwaj appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the little learners and remarked that every creative activity is an opportunity to learn, explore and grow. She applauded their innocent smiles, joyful efforts and creativity, highlighting that such experiences make learning meaningful while fostering confidence and essential skills.
She also appreciated the teachers for thoughtfully integrating patriotic values with purposeful learning, making the celebration memorable and enriching. The activity beautifully reflected the spirit of “Little Hands, Big Patriotism”, proving that even the smallest hands can express the biggest love for the nation.

Educational Visit to Ludhiana Stock and Capital Limited: Learning Beyond the Classroom

Darrick International School, Banga organised an enriching educational visit to Ludhiana Stock and Capital Limited (LSC), formerly known as The Ludhiana Stock Exchange Association Limited, for the students of Classes XI and XII. The visit provided students with valuable exposure to the functioning of the stock exchange and capital market system.
During the visit, students gained practical insights into share trading, market operations, investment practices, price fluctuations, and the role of financial markets in the economy. They also learnt about the functioning of LSC Securities Limited, the subsidiary that provides trading access to major national stock exchanges. This firsthand exposure enabled students to connect concepts studied in Economics and Commerce with their practical application in the financial world.
The excursion was a meaningful example of experiential learning, allowing students to observe and understand financial systems beyond the confines of textbooks. It enhanced their financial awareness, encouraged critical thinking, and gave them a glimpse into potential career avenues in finance, investment, and capital markets.

Mst. Livjot Singh Bags Bronze Medal at Wrestling Championship

Darrick International School, Banga, proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of Mst. Livjot Singh of Class VI Emma, who won the Third Position, bagging the Bronze Medal in the 60 kg weight category, at the Wrestling Championship organized by the Wrestling Association (Boys & Girls) at Sangrur.

The championship, held in Sangrur, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 300 young wrestlers competing across various weight categories, making the event highly competitive. Displaying exceptional strength, determination, and sportsmanship, Livjot delivered an impressive performance to secure a place on the winners' podium, bringing immense pride and honour to Darrick International School, Banga.
