🥗 CREATIVITY ON A PLATE | SALAD MAKING COMPETITION 🥗 HELD ON SATURDAY.

At Elixir Garden School, learning is not confined to classrooms—it is also about developing skills, cultivating habits, working together, and transforming simple ideas into meaningful experiences.

The Salad Making Competition for students of Classes VII and VIII was a vibrant celebration of creativity, culinary skills, hygiene, teamwork and discipline.

What appeared to be a simple plate of salad became a canvas of imagination and an exercise in life skills. Our young participants demonstrated remarkable cutting, shaping, arranging and decoration skills, transforming fresh fruits and vegetables into colourful and beautifully presented creations. 🍎🥒🥕🍅

But the real achievement went beyond the final presentation.

✨ Hygiene & Safety: Students displayed awareness of cleanliness, proper handling of ingredients and maintaining a hygienic workspace.

🤝 Teamwork & Collaboration: The activity encouraged students to divide responsibilities, communicate effectively, respect one another's ideas and work towards a common outcome.

🎨 Creativity & Aesthetic Sense: From the choice of ingredients to the intricate arrangement and presentation, every plate reflected imagination and individuality.

🔪 Precision & Skill: The students showcased impressive cutting, shaping and decorating techniques, demonstrating patience, concentration and hand-eye coordination.

🧭 Discipline & Organisation: Maintaining order, managing ingredients and completing the task within the given framework reflected a commendable sense of discipline.

🌱 Healthy Living: The activity also reinforced the importance of nutritious food and conscious eating habits in everyday life.

Most importantly, the competition created an environment where students learned by doing. They experienced that excellence is not merely about winning—it is about attention to detail, cooperation, cleanliness, creativity, responsibility and the courage to create something of their own.

A Day of Nature, Joy and Learning

The picnic of our students from Classes 3rd, 4th and 5th, held on Thursday, 27th August to Dachigaam National Park, Haerwan Garden, and Qamariyaa Park, was a truly delightful and memorable experience. Away from the regular classroom setting, our young learners spent a wonderful day surrounded by the beauty of nature, fresh air, laughter and friendship.

The outing gave the children a valuable opportunity to observe, explore and appreciate the natural world around them. Every moment became a lesson—from watching the trees and birds to enjoying open spaces, playing together and sharing meals with friends. Such experiences help children learn naturally, build confidence, develop social values and create a deeper love for nature.
The cheerful smiles, innocent excitement and happy memories of the day will remain close to our hearts for a long time. It was not just a picnic, but a beautiful journey of learning, bonding and joyful discovery for our little learners.
