Keeping schools closed on Saturdays is not a good decision. In my view, this decision needs to be reconsidered, especially when the education system in Kashmir is already facing serious challenges.

Every school day matters for students. Reducing instructional days can further limit learning opportunities, particularly for students who need additional academic support. Instead of reducing school days, greater attention should be given to improving the quality of education, strengthening teaching standards, ensuring regular attendance, and creating better learning opportunities for students.

Our priority should be to strengthen education, not reduce the time available for learning. The future of our children depends on the quality and consistency of the education they receive.
