An inspiring event co-hosted by the ESCP Improbable Chair and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).

During an intensive workshop, students experienced a condensed version of The Improbable Seminar. Implemented in 18 countries and across multiple universities, this seminar challenges conventional notions of beauty by addressing 21st century issues such as sustainability, artificial intelligence and geopolitics. Using Art Thinking, students explored creative practices to design unexpected perspectives.

We were so pleased to welcome back CFMM Class of 2020 alum Brianna Picciuto, Associate Director of Global Dove Hair Innovation at Unilever, as a guest speaker in our Advanced Topics in Marketing course.

Brianna shared how she transforms consumer insight into meaningful product innovation, illustrating how thoughtful strategy and storytelling can drive brand relevance and open new category opportunities.

We’re proud to see CFMM alumni like Brianna shaping the future of beauty through insight-driven innovation. Her session was a powerful reminder that true innovation begins with understanding consumers at their core and translating that empathy into purposeful brand action.

We are thrilled to welcome alumna Jamie Lynn O’Brien-Budney (Class of 2022), Assistant Vice President of CeraVe DMI at L’Oréal, to the CFMM faculty this fall! Jamie will be joining as a new professor for Advanced Topics in Marketing.
Also returning to teach is Caterina Burzio (Class of 2020), Assistant Vice President of YSL Fragrances US at L’Oréal. Together, Jamie and Caterina will lead students through a dynamic semester of critical analysis and problem-solving around today’s marketing issues and tomorrow’s opportunities.
The course challenges students through trend spotting, focus groups, a field study to Los Angeles & Seattle, where they’ll meet with retailers, innovators, and disruptors. For their final project, students undertake the Brand Strategy Project, tackling a real-world marketing challenge directly briefed by a specific brand. They will craft a comprehensive 3-year marketing strategy and present to faculty and beauty industry leaders.
We are so proud and excited to welcome Jamie to the faculty and to have Caterina continue inspiring the next generation of industry leaders.
