Saturday, May 6th at Gulshan Terrace, Queens NY to their Fundraising Gala Dinner. All proceeds go towards Tibetan Children's Village.

When we were all little at TCV, we didn’t fully realize all the day-to-day things, large and small, Amala did for us, from comforting us, giving us advice, giving us an education, and taking care of us in every way. Amala taught us many important and unforgettable lessons, gave us so much love, and made sure that we were always taken care of and loved. Growing up, it never occurred to us to say “Thank you Amala”.

As a mark of our gratitude for our dear Ama Jetsun Pemala on her 80th birthday, the batch of TCV 94-96 is very fortunate to be one of the co-producers of this important film which captures the struggle, hard work and the immense sacrifices she made for all of us. We thank our fellow Tcvian and avant grande filmmaker Geleck Palsang for putting so much effort in the last 3 years and creating this beautiful documentary film on the life of our incomparable Amala.

This is a documentary film entirely produced by ex-Tcvians. We also thank our other co-producer and batch mate Pemba Warren from Colorado, Law Offices of Tenzin Wangyal, PLLC NYC, Tencho Gyatso, Washington DC, and Tenzin Choedak, Bangalore, India and TCV Alumni Association Inc NY&NJ for their generous contributions in the making of this film. Finally we would like to thank music maestro Tenzin Choegyal, Australia for graciously accepting his music to be used in this film.

THE TRIBUTE SONG IS IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE LATE PAWO TSEWANG NORBU LA & HIS FAMILY. VOA Tibetan has reported that the late singer, Tsewang Norbu's father, Choegyen, committed su***de after severe intimidation and nonstop harassment from the Chinese police in Lhasa. We all Tibetans are devastated that this family has been made to suffer, and our heartbreaks thinking of this sad news coming out of Tibet. TIBET
