Fakir Mohan University celebrated World Environment Day with a mega plantation drive, planting over 200 indigenous saplings between Machhua village and the Nuapadhi Campus. The occasion also marked the launch of the “Palli Tota” (Village Orchard) Initiative by Vice-Chancellor Shri Santosh Kumar Tripathy, reinforcing the University’s commitment to environmental conservation, community engagement, and sustainable development.

Building a Lightning-Safe North Odisha.

Fakir Mohan University, in collaboration with OSDMA, successfully hosted the “Lightning Safe North Odisha: Master Trainer Workshop” with 190 participants from government agencies, disaster management authorities, IMD, NRSC, and academia. The workshop focused on awareness, preparedness, forecasting, risk reduction, and district-specific SOPs to achieve the shared goal of zero lightning casualties. Together, strengthening resilience through knowledge, collaboration, and community action ✨️
