এই সেই আগস্ট মাস। একটি দশক পার হয়ে গেল প্রায় ।দুরারোগ্য ব্যাধিতে অকালে, মাত্র ৪৪ বছর বয়সে প্রয়াত হয়েছিলেন এক প্রাণবন্ত জনপ্রিয় শিক্ষক প্রদীপ কুমার ঘোষ। তাঁর সহকর্মী ও ছাত্রদের কাছে বিষয়টি খুবই যন্ত্রণার, কারণ তিনি ছিলেন এত দরদী মানুষ এবং গুণী, সুযোগ্য শিক্ষকও। তাঁর পড়ানো, বাচনভঙ্গি, ব্যক্তিত্বের তেজ অসামান্য ছিল। পরবর্তীকালে কর্মরত অবস্থায় আরো কিছু মৃত্যু ছাত্র, শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষাকর্মীদের(এবং অভিভাবকদেরও) যন্ত্রণা দিয়ে গেছে।
প্রধান শিক্ষক হিসেবে কর্মরত অবস্থায় প্রয়াত হন পঞ্চানন দাসঘোষ, বাণিজ্য বিভাগের শিক্ষক মানস রায়,অফিস স্টাফ জয়িতা ঠাকুর।সব মৃত্যুই বিদ্যালয়ের ক্ষেত্রে অপূরণীয় ক্ষতির বিষয়।

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের যুব কল্যান দপ্তরের অর্থানুকূল্যে এবং স্থানীয় বিধায়ক আব্দুল মান্নানের সক্রিয় সহযোগিতায় আজ বিদ্যালয়ে একটি সুসজ্জিত অত্যাধুনিক *মাল্টিজিম* এর শুভ উদ্বোধন হল। সেই সঙ্গে বিদ্যালয়ের ঐকান্তিক প্রচেষ্টায় ছাত্রদের জন্য উন্নত প্রযুক্তি সম্পন্ন *স্মার্ট ক্লাস* এর শুভ সূচনা হল।আজকের এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্থানীয় বিধায়ক আব্দুল মান্নান ,স্থানীয় পৌর সদস্যা উজ্জ্বলা ঘোষ প্রমুখ।
বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক মাননীয় অমরনাথ ঘোষাল বলেন "এই স্মার্ট ক্লাস এর মাধ্যমে একদিকে যেমন বিদ্যালয়ের পঠন -পাঠন আরো উন্নত মানের হবে,সেই সঙ্গে মাল্টিজিমে ছাত্ররা নিয়মিত শরীর চর্চার সুযোগ পাবে-----সব মিলিয়ে বিদ্যালয় তাঁদের কাছে বেশি করে আকর্ষণীয় হবে।

Space Weather is more complex than it seem. Another source are the High Speed Streams in the Solar Wind.

A high speed stream (HSS) is like a powerful gust in the solar wind. Near the edge of a HSS are regions of high particle density and strong magnetic fields while inside the stream the density and field are low and the temperature and velocity are high.

The flow velocity inside a HSS can reach 300 to 1000 km/s. In some cases they will produce interplanetary shocks. High speed streams come from coronal holes, dark regions in the solar corona, and are most common during the declining phase of the solar cycle. High-speed streams can last a long time and we often see a HSS every 27 days as its home coronal hole rotates into the right position. Because coronal holes do not align with sunspots or active regions and could only be seen once coronal images from space were available, the origin of high speed streams was originally assigned to M-regions.
