Terminal Semester / Final Year Examination of Diploma courses in view of Covid Pandemic
1. As per UGC directions and subsequent Hon’ble Supreme Court order dated 28.8.2020, Terminal Semester / Final Year Examination shall be conducted by Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE) along with their reappears in previous semesters / Year. Examination consisting of Multiple Choice Questions shall be conducted in online mode through mobile in September, 2020.
2. Accordingly, 2017 Batch of 3 year Diploma Courses (including the students admitted in 2018 under Lateral Entry) shall appear in their final semester Examination along with reappears of previous semesters as per applied PCA / Exam Form.
3. Further, as per Examination Regulations of HSBTE, the candidate of Diploma courses (other than D.Pharmacy) can clear the reappears within a period of twice the duration of Diploma i.e. 6 years from the year of admission. Therefore, the students of Exit Batches / Pass out batches (i.e. 2014, 2015 & 2016 Batches) shall also be allowed to appear in those subjects only for which Exams shall be held for final year students. The other subject IDs for which the exams are not being held for 2017 Batch but the students of Exit Batches had applied PCA / Exam Form, are to be treated as rejected & cancelled.
4. In the uploaded PCA, if wrong subject ID has been given which is not applicable to the student or any subject which has already been passed, shall stand cancelled. Even if a student appears for online exam for such subject(s), attempt shall not be considered and stand rejected.
5. As per PCI instructions, 1st year Students of D. Pharmacy shall also appear for Online Exams in addition to the Final Year students of Diploma in Pharnacy and Reappear Students as per applied PCA / Exam Form.
6. As per the decision of the State Govt., Mercy Chance to students who could not clear their Diploma within a period of twice the duration of their 3 year Diploma, will not be allowed in this Examination.
7. For the Online Exam, the student must have a smart phone with Camera and internet connectivity (or arrange it from others or take Exam in Cyber Café / nearest polytechnic on a computer with We**am). In case student is unable to appear in Examination for what so ever reason(s), shall be given opportunity in next / special examination as and when feasible once the normalcy prevails in the State.
8. The student shall be required to REGISTER ONLINE for the Exam by providing the required information including (a) Email ID (b) Mobile No. on which the student will take Exam. Only the Student itself must register because the photograph of student shall be captured during the registration process and will be verified by the concerned institute as per PCA uploaded. This captured photo (verified by Instt.) shall be used for identification of student continuously during the exam of each subject.
9. Online Mock Test will be conducted for the practice of students to make them conversant and comfortable.
10. Detailed instructions for the Registration and Online Exam shall be displayed on the website of the Board (hsbte.org.in) in due course of time.
11. Institutions offering Diploma course must have mobile numbers and email IDs of their students of above mentioned batches to convey instructions / information from time to time. Institutions shall also be required to display information related to Exam on their Website. All Institutions must facilitate the needy students (of any institute) with internet connectivity and computer with functional We**am) after taking appropriate measures as per Covid protocol like social distancing, sanitization etc.
