Campaign Title - *Help a remote Himalayan community rehabilitate their only school*

Campaign Story - Dear Samaritans, This is an effort to help rehabilitate a primary school in a village called Simkhet in Garur Bageshwar. The school is called Saraswati Sishu Mandir and has 136 students attending classes here from kindergarten to 5th grade. The students here hail from working-class communities who cannot afford to travel 5 - 10 Kilometres back and forth every day to go to the nearest school from this location. The last quarter of 2019 saw a massive flood that wiped clean the entire school of its furniture, books, sports equipment and other academic paraphernalia. The students were then forced to stay at home since the harsh Himalayan winter seeped in immediately afterwards. and due to lack of funds to retrofit the building structure and facilities, The school was declared defunct in March 2020 and then all hopes were lost for the school and the kids studying there when the nationwide lockdown was imposed in March 2020. The school has built on a foundation of hope and love...
