July was a meaningful month of learning and discussion at VIPS, with two District Level Deliberations held around the CBSE Theme of the Year — Computational Thinking & Artificial Intelligence.

On 11 July 2026, we hosted an expert-led discussion on “Mathematics as the Cornerstone of Computational Thinking and AI.” Mr. Deepak Kalhan, Co-Founder of Apto.ai, shared valuable insights into how mathematics forms the foundation of modern AI. He also explained how mathematical concepts are used behind the algorithms we interact with every day, from social media platforms to e-commerce websites.

On 26 July 2026, the second deliberation focused on “Foundations of Computational Thinking and AI.” Educators and students from different schools came together to share ideas through paper presentations and discuss how Computational Thinking and AI can be meaningfully introduced into teaching and learning.

Both sessions encouraged curiosity, knowledge-sharing and thoughtful discussions, giving educators an opportunity to learn from one another and explore how technology can support meaningful classroom learning.

At VIPS, we believe that when educators keep learning and exploring, they can help children become better thinkers, creative problem-solvers and confident learners ready for the future.

District Level Deliberation (DLD) Workshop on Foundations of Computational Thinking & AI Readiness

VIPS Baddi had the privilege of hosting the District Level Deliberation Workshop under CBSE's Computational Thinking and AI initiative for the session 2026–27 — a full day of collaborative exchange, reflective dialogue and the sharing of classroom-tested best practices by educators from across the district.

The day began with registration, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a warm welcome address by Mrs. Neha Marwaha. Our esteemed jury — Ms. Agrima Singh Thakur (Head of Department, Computer Science and Engineering, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology), Ms. Shailja Sharma (Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology ) and Ms. Pooja Bhatia (TGT, Amravati Vidyalaya, Baddi) — brought academic rigour and thoughtful insight to every session.

Participating schools included Golden Valley School, Baddi and P C Cambridge School, Baddi, alongside our own faculty.

Across the sessions, teachers demonstrated how decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction and algorithmic thinking can live inside an ordinary classroom period — from the Smart Water Conservation Challenge and "My Digital Pizza" to fractions through the four pillars of CT, photosynthesis, vaccination through video-game analogies, English language learning in Grade 3, and geography through parallels and meridians.
