Student Council Formation and Oath-Taking Ceremony at Yash Vidya Mandir
“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.”
At Yash Vidya Mandir, the formation of the Student Council and the Oath-Taking Ceremony was organized with great enthusiasm and joy, continuing the tradition of previous years. This process, conducted by the school, provides students with an opportunity to elect their leaders.
The Student Council plays a vital role in developing leadership skills and a sense of responsibility among students. It also encourages active participation in the voting process and promotes democratic values, enabling students to make independent decisions.
The Student Council consists of six committees—Sports, Maintenance, CCA Literary, CCA Cultural, Discipline, and Eco—where students take responsibility for various tasks and perform them diligently. Initially, the committee heads, along with teachers, carried out the nomination process for student candidates.
The election process was successfully conducted under the guidance of committee heads, with the support of Shri Shivendra Sir, Ashwini Sir, Shri Sawan Sir, Ms. Swapnil Ma’am, Mrs. Neelam Ma’am, Mrs. Poonam Ma’am, and Vikas Sir, along with active participation from the students.
After the selection of candidates, the Oath-Taking Ceremony was held on 4th May 2026 in the school. The Chief Guest, Honorable Shri Bhagwan Baksh Singh (a renowned social worker, educationist, and legal expert), administered the oath to the students for their responsibilities.
The Chief Guest, who has completed his M.Sc. and LL.B. from Lucknow University, has had a distinguished professional journey. He has served as a Branch Manager at the State Bank and also holds the prestigious position of President of the Uttar Pradesh Bank Union. His vast experience and dedication to public service have been a great source of inspiration for the students.
He congratulated the students on their new roles and guided them towards understanding their duties, ensuring proper functioning, and actively participating in a free and democratic process. He also emphasized that this leadership role will build their overall character and help in their personality development.
The school Principal, Mrs. Sarita Tripathi, expressed her gratitude to the Chief Guest and emphasized that students should understand the depth and importance of the valuable thoughts shared by distinguished personalities and embrace them with an inclusive spirit.
The bright expressions in the eyes of the students reflected their sense of responsibility and commitment during this memorable occasion.
The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Principal Mrs. Sarita Tripathi, Senior Coordinator Shri Girish Chandra Vaishya, Junior Coordinator Shri Prasoon Srivastava, and Primary Coordinator Mrs. Vandana Pandey.
