Roots & Wings Academy, Aurangabad Celebrates its First Prize Distribution Program - Laureates

On the eve of the First Anniversary, Ms Gail Walker from the USA shares her best wishes for the school. Ms Gail along with her husband Dr Patrick Walker has been a constant supporter of our school.

The day was marked with Projects Exhibition which students made throughout the year at the school itself.

Dr Shaikh Abdul Hakeem, Mr Irfan Khan Saudagar & Mr Gulam Rabbani were the Judges of the Exhibition

Project 'Damdi Mahal Traffic System' won the cash prize of 2000/- INR

All other students were awarded with trophies for their student profile achievement

Some Parents were also awarded for their selfless support to the school as they volunteered for several activities during the year. Alhamdulillaah

Activities for Parents with the intent to collaborate and community formation

‘Parents’ Day Out’ at Roots and Wings Academy

In an attempt to form a community collaboration, Roots and Wings Academy organized a ‘Parents’ Day Out’ aiming at bridging the gap between the parents on 24th Nov, 2018 at Palmtree Group’s Picnic Point, Daultabad Road.

Various team building activities like ‘Don’t let the goal fall’, ‘Spoon-Ball Race’ and ‘Find Someone who…’ were organized and the parents enjoyed overwhelmingly. Parents were also seen refreshing themselves with a match of Cricket. Exclusive arrangements were done for females participants to be a part of these fun-n-frolic activities wholeheartedly. Fitness Trainers were appointed for conducting activities for the kids. Kids enjoyed to the fullest, Alhamdulillah.

Parents were welcomed with breakfast and ice-breaking activities. CA Abdul Hakeem Patel, Chartered Accounted addressed the parents on the topic of ‘Financial Planning for Higher Education’. Later Director of the school, Safar Khan interacted with the audience and envisioned them with the school’s visions and objectives.

The program ended with happy parents enjoying delicious delicacies arranged at lunch for all. Parents appreciated the efforts taken by the school and promised to take this initiative to the next level and continue with the collaborative efforts for community formation.

Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign by Roots & Wings at Siddharth Garden

Taking heed from notification from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Roots & Wings Academy contributed to the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign on 15th Sep, 2018 with the help and support from Aurangabad Municipal Corporation. Roots & Wings students organized a rally at Siddharth Garden for public awareness. The students interacted with the visitors and requested them to stop using plastic bags and make Aurangabad plastic free. The students also thanked the garden and zoo officials for their hardwork to keep the environment neat and clean. They also interacted with the Police personnel who were present at the Garden rehearsing for Monday’s events.

Dr. Naikwade, Zoo Director also spoke to the students and discussed the importance of animals in our ecological balance. He also discussed the role Siddharth Garden has been playing in improving animal life and supporting wildlife. The students also requested him to bring more wild animals to the city. Garden Superintendent, Mr. Patil also supported the campaign with his wholehearted cooperation.
